2011 Score BIG for ME Ball Drop Rules


  1. BulletFor an entry fee of $10.00 per numbered ball, each participant will be entered into the Score BIG for ME Ball Drop (SBFMBD) to take place on January 29, 2011, weather permitting.  The Greater York Region Chamber of Commerce, (GYRCC) which is sponsoring the event, may, at its discretion, change the date and time of the event due to inclement weather or other unforeseeable circumstances.

  2. BulletEntry tickets are available only through the participating non-profit organizations.


  1. BulletParticipants must be 18 years of age or older and may enter multiple times.

  2. BulletOn Jan. 29, 2011, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the balls will be placed randomly in a bucket and then dropped from a height above the target zones.

  3. BulletThe ball closest to each of the target centers as determined by the judges shall win the associated prize. All decisions of the judges are final and binding.

  4. BulletOdds of winning and the amount of cash prizes will be determined by the GYRCC based on the total number of valid entries received.

  5. BulletAll federal, state and local laws and restrictions apply.

  6. BulletWinners will be announced on Jan. 29, 2011 but they do not need to be present to win. The winners will be notified by phone, mail, or e-mail from the contact information supplied. If a winner cannot be located or fails to respond and claim their prize within 10 days of notification, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. If the entry is deemed by the judges to be illegible, the entry will be disqualified.

  7. BulletAll entries become the property of the GYRCC and will not be returned.

  8. BulletAll applicable taxes, fees, and licenses are the responsibility of the winners.

  9. BulletEach participant releases, discharges, and indemnifies the GYRCC, its employees, board of directors and members, sponsors, agents, and promotional partners (collectively the releasees) from any liability, loss, harm, injury, and/or expense whatsoever arising directly or indirectly from participation in or at the event.

  10. BulletThe GYRCC reserves the right to change this event at its discretion at any time that the GYRCC becomes aware of any circumstances or occurrences which would materially affect the event’s fairness. Such circumstances will be announced to participants who are present prior to the ball drop.

  11. BulletThe winners are required to pick-up their prizes in person at the GYRCC located at 1 Stonewall Lane, York, ME , within 10 business days following the ball drop unless the GYRCC agrees on a case by case basis to deliver the prizes in an alternate manner. The winners must present identification to claim their prize and sign a release that they have received the prize.  The prizes are non-transferrable and non-refundable.
